Baltimore Office of Promotion and The Arts (BOPA) seeks Mural Program Coordinator
The Baltimore Mural Program Coordinator is a contractual position that administers the Mural Program by seeking out qualified artists, matching them to designated mural sites, and overseeing efforts to create murals in public, visible locations throughout the city of Baltimore. The contract for this position runs from July 1 – December 31, 2012 (26 weeks). It is anticipated that the Coordinator will work approximately 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Contacting communities in which murals are scheduled to be created and link them with artists to complete the project
- Planning and heading organizational meetings with the involved parties to ensure a smooth and satisfactory experience for the communities, artists and funders
- Locating building owners and obtaining Right of Entry agreements before work begins
- Hiring, supervising, and contracting with mural artists so that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined
- Arranging for equipment, paint, and supplies for the projects
- Maintaining supply inventory
- Ensuring appropriate project documentation and maintaining accurate files and records
- Managing budgets
- Troubleshooting during mural creation as necessary
- Planning and executing mural dedications with the BOPA staff, if the community requests it
- Maintaining online mural map as part of the project documentation
Required knowledge, skills and abilities
- The ideal candidate is a dynamic, people-oriented individual with outstanding organizational skills. Additional required skills:
- Mural program and/or creation experience required
- Excellent writing and speaking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft computer programs (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Familiarity with Baltimore neighborhoods
- Occasional evenings and weekends required
Education and Experience Required
BA in the arts or related discipline, or 2 years of equivalent relevant experience
Salary is commensurate with experience (No benefits are offered with this position)

- Designing for integration with a content management system, including custom, third party and Open Source CMS (such as Ektron, CrownPeak, Sitecore, Umbraco);
- Designing for 508 compliant sites; and

The Berndt Group is seeking a full-time Production Specialist: HTML/CSS Template Creator to assist a talented 5-person design team that produces award winning web site designs. Strathmore Hall Foundation seeks Operations Manager
The Operations Manager ensures smooth day to day operations of the Strathmore campus (Music Center, Mansion, and grounds). Included in their responsibilities are: event and project management, maintaining the physical asset of the grounds and facilities, strategic coordination between landlord and other tenants as well as internally between departments, supervision of several part-time positions, and either direct set-up or coordination of set-up of all venue and room rentals (except the Concert Hall).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- 40% – Identify maintenance concerns throughout the campus and facilitate their timely resolution with Montgomery County (landlord) in addition to contracted vendors
- 20% – Ensure smooth event transitions throughout campus, both by directly performing and education events set ups and strikes as required as well as supervising others
- 15% – Manage outdoor events and several large-scale festivals throughout the year including supervision of parking crews
- 10% – Support rental manager by pre-event meetings with high level clients and assistance with special large scale events
- 10% – Supervisory and administrative responsibilities
- 5% – Related duties as assigned
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
This position requires:

Baltimore School for the Arts Foundation seeks Development Associate
The Baltimore School for the Arts Foundation is seeking a Development Associate to work 30 hours per week in the development office. The Development Associate is responsible for all administrative aspects of development, special events and communications at the school.
The Development Associate plays an important role by providing administrative support to the BSA Foundation Office – participating in all fundraising activities including donor relations and special events.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Process donations and prepare acknowledgement letters and other correspondence.
- Maintain foundation, corporation and individual donor files.
- Continually update and correct database records.
- Conduct preliminary research on prospective corporate foundation and individual donors.
- Coordinate productions and mailing of fall and spring appeal letters.
- Maintain Expressions sponsorship records and ensure acknowledgement and delivery of sponsor benefits. If required by funder, prepare and submit all necessary follow-up reports.
- Maintain guest lists, gather and prepare registration materials and other duties as assigned for fund-raising events.

The official Children’s Chorus of Maryland (CCM) is currently holding auditions for their 2012-2013 season! Children ages 5 1/2 and above are invited to explore their musical aptitudes for placement within in the school and chorus. Children up to age 7 are guaranteed placement in CCM Beginner I classes.
CCM students participate in a fun series of games and activities while learning about music with incredible speed and ease.
