With a few cake decorating tools and products, you’ll transform a simple cake into something that rivals the pros. Decorator Krystal Krisciunas received her start at Flavor Cupcakery, winner on Cupcake Wars. Get ready to leave this workshop with small yet adorable projects like animals or fruits that can serve as gifts, ornaments, or something simply decorative! Instructor Rosemary Liss gives a tutorial and shows different examples and techniques beforehand. Liss is a talented, multi-dimensional artist whose experience includes working with the international puppet company, Big Nazo, and coordinating production at Charles St. Films in Baltimore, MD. The Bitters Truth: An Aromatic Adventure

Long used for their wonderful digestive virtues, bitters have become a popular craze in today’s mixology scene. This two-part class taught by Connor Rasmussen, mixologist from Woodberry Kitchen, and Susan Belsinger, culinary herbalist and author, will feature these aromatic flavoring agents, how they are made and why and how to use them. You will taste samples, then create your own formula. Return for the second class to finish your bitters and taste a cocktail featuring them. Limited space. Young Filmakers Workshops Summer Class Openings
The YOUNG FILMMAKERS WORKSHOP with Steve Yeager still has a few openings for 9 – 17 year olds. Classes in Acting for the Camera, Filmmaking, and Production Design are conducted on the Park School campus for three weeks from June 24th – July 12th. The Baltimore Office of Promotion and The Arts is looking for visual and performing arts instructors to work with the Bright StARTS program in a summer reading academy for Baltimore City.
The academy will operate from June 24-July 26 at various locations throughout the city, on Monday-Wednesday afternoons.
Interested artists should have extensive experience working with children ages 5-8 years of age, and will be expected to submit a 27-hour curriculum integrating the building of vocabulary and reading skills.
