Strand Theater announces Auditions For Mother, May I

Strand Theater is looking to fill two of the following roles for the production of

Mother, May I – by Dylan Brody
A sad comedy in two acts

Winner of the 2005 Stanley Drama Award For Playwriting
Directed by Rain Pryor
Auditions are held on Tuesday, June 26th, 2012 at the Strand Theater from 6pm-7pm

Prepare 1-2 min monologue and be ready to read sides if requested. Please bring headshot and resume.

Character breakdown:
Paul Grunman – Jewish male, 50 to late 60s, strong acting skills, good with subtle comedy
Daniel Grunman – Jewish, Paul and Ellen’s son. Successful screen writer, his parents do not know. Strong acting skills, good subtle comedy skills a plus

Rehearsal Schedule:
July 30-31
Aug 6,7,13,14
Sept 4-7
Sept 10-14
Sept 17-18 tech run/ dress
Opening Night – September 21st
Thursday-Saturday performances through October 20th
