Overview
The Board of Trustees for Center for the Arts (Center for Visual & Performing Arts, Inc.) seeks a dynamic Executive Director, with a commitment to capacity building, to work on the challenge of an ambitious new Strategic Plan to increase growth within the organization and build upon the tremendous eight-year legacy of its founding Director.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a visionary who understands the mission and is dedicated to seeing it through. Someone who will inspire, support and coordinate the upcoming efforts of a vibrant Capital Campaign to fulfill this mission. Gordon Center seeks Volunteers
The Gordon Center For Performing Arts is gearing up for a brand new 2013-2014 season!
Be a vital part of The Gordon Center team. Become a volunteer! As a volunteer, you will provide customer service and aid to our patrons upon arrival, during the show, and as they depart after the show. Volunteers will assist house management with ticket collection, seating of audience members, concessions, other duties as assigned during the course of the performance, and, most importantly, create a pleasant and welcoming environment for our patrons. In return for your service, time and talents, volunteer ushers are able to watch the performance during their shift. To join the Gordon Center’s volunteer core, you must attend one Volunteer Orientation Session before the opening of the season. (more…)

Mural assistants wanted. $20/hour, for approx 4 weeks of work, starting around June 17. Must be able to work on a scaffold and accurately reproduce the design. Location St. Paul and Lafayette.

Spotlighters Theatre offers High School Acting Intensive
Spotlighters Theatre offers a high school acting intensive from July 8th through August 9th.
The Young Actors Academy features professional artists and educators and an exciting and fun curriculum.
Tuition is $795 for the five week program, with classes Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm.

Gordon Center seeks House Manager
The Gordon Center for Performing Arts (550 seat theater on the campus of the JCC Owings Mills) seeks a part-time House Manager. Primary duties include providing a welcoming experience for patrons, managing patron seating conflicts and concerns, maintaining a safe environment for patrons and volunteers during performances, on-site training of volunteer ushers, and upkeep of FOH spaces including concessions area. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, the ability to think quickly and calmly on their feet and strong leadership skills. CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus. General information:
Baltimore Concert Opera is entering its fifth season of producing intimate, affordable concert operas at the Garrett Jacobs Mansion in the heart of Mount Vernon. Vibrant, sold out audiences are the norm at BCO, whose mission is to capture the essence of opera: the connection between the audience and the human voice.
BCO seeks confident, detail-oriented, energetic applicants for the position of Company Administrator. This position is part time, at an average of 8-10 regular hours per week. During productions, the Company Administrator is expected to attend performances and some rehearsals. The Company Administrator works closely with, and reports to, the Executive Director. (more…)

Young Audiences/Arts for Learning, founded in Baltimore in 1950, is the country’s foremost arts-in- education non-profit organization. The Maryland chapter of young Audiences (YAMD) Provides over 4,000 arts education opportunities for students, artists, and educators throughout the state each year, our programs generate student motivation towards their school work by enlivening the standard curriculum as well as propelling the increasingly important process of breaking down divisive cultural barriers. Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts seeks Baltimore Mural Program Coordinator
The Baltimore Office of Promotion and The Arts (BOPA) is a non-profit arts and events organization charged with making Baltimore a more creative and vibrant city. The organization’s programs include city-wide special events and festivals (Artscape, Baltimore Book Festival, fireworks) as well as management of historic sites and cultural facilities (School 33 Art Center, Top of the World Observation Level, Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower, The Cloisters).
